The Dortmund Deathfest is a festival founded by Mike Heinemann and Lukas Swiaczny. On two stages (an outdoor stage with a capacity of 1500 visitors and an indoor stage with a capacity of 500 visitors) we give death metal, thrash metal, grindcore and deathcore bands from all over the world the opportunity to bring their art to the german audience. The Dortmund Deathfest also supports smaller and local bands and offers them a stage.

For those attending Dortmund Deathfest, arranging your accommodation is essential to ensure a comfortable stay during the festival. While we do not provide direct accommodation services, there are plenty of options available in and around Dortmund to suit various preferences and budgets.

You can choose from a range of hotels, hostels, Airbnbs, and apartments to find the perfect place to rest and recharge after a day full of metal and excitement. To assist you in finding suitable accommodation, here are some websites where you can start your search:

  • Hotels and Hostels: Websites like Booking.com, Hotels.com, and Hostelworld offer a variety of hotels and hostels with options to suit different budgets and preferences.
  • Airbnb: For a more homely or unique stay, check out Airbnb for local apartments, houses, and rooms for rent.
  • Local Apartment Rentals: Websites like HomeAway or VRBO can also provide great options for those looking for apartments or entire homes.

We recommend booking your accommodation well in advance, as the festival dates tend to attract a significant number of visitors to the area. Ensure your stay in Dortmund is as memorable as the festival itself by securing your accommodation early!

Pictures & Videos

At Dortmund Deathfest, we capture the excitement and energy of our festival through videos and photography. With three professional photographers on-site, we document the unforgettable moments and live performances throughout the event. These images and footage help us share and celebrate the incredible atmosphere of the festival with the wider metal community.

Please be aware that by entering the festival area, you consent to potentially being included in photos or videos. We understand and respect your privacy, so if you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, we’re here to accommodate your wishes. Clean Festival

At Dortmund Deathfest, we are committed to maintaining a clean and enjoyable environment for everyone. We kindly ask all our festival-goers to help us in this effort by being mindful of their trash.

You’ll find numerous trash bins scattered throughout the festival grounds, including near the stages, food and beverage areas, and other key spots. These bins are there for your convenience and to help keep our unique venue, Junkyard Dortmund, as pristine as when we started.

We encourage everyone to play their part in keeping the area clean. Please dispose of your trash responsibly in the provided bins. This not only helps maintain the cleanliness of the venue but also ensures a more pleasant and safe experience for all attendees. Please don’t use confetti and other small parts because they will get into the sewerage system.
